I recently purchased a M1873 Single Action Army revolver from Jastro. The gun has a 4.75″ barrel and a nickel finish and let me tell you, it was love at first sight. Up until this point, I didn’t know replicas like these were even sold inside Canada. The gun has a nice heft to it giving you that authentic “heavy gun” feeling, and the wooden grips are smooth to the touch. The mirror sheen of the nickel finish tops it off by giving an old gun a flare of newness. The cylinder spins smooth as silk and the cocking mechanism feels solid. Everything works just like I expected them to. For added fun and satisfaction, I definitely recommend buying a set of dummy rounds to go with the revolver so that you can load it. Jastro was amazing with their customer service as well. Even when I made a mistake on my order, they were quick to reply to my e-mail inquiries and just as quick to correct the error. This being my first purchase from Jastro as well as my first Denix replica, I’m please to say that I am very impressed and that this definitely will not be the last time I’ll be buying from Jastro! My order arrived today — I’m VERY pleased with it. I’m sure my brother-in-law is going to love the Custer’s Last Stand set I’m giving him for his birthday. I’m very happy with the LeMat. My only comment would be that you might want to wrap/pack the pistol that comes with the frame. This one was barely wired to the ‘bullets’ but luckily it didn’t wear on the picture.
